The Directorate General of the Merchant Navy has awarded Consultrans the project for new functionalities and maintenance of the Ship Register, Radio Communications, Internal Communications and Sanction Proceedings applications. These activities will facilitate the management of the registration life of a vessel, installation of equipment, sanction proceedings arising from violations in Civil Navy matters, as well as the monitoring of documents associated with all processes involved.
The management of new portable VHF equipment with GPS and DSC will be implemented. Procedures related to incorporating new data to vessels and modifying the existing ones to adapt them to the new needs will be created. Processes will also be developed for automatic dumping of existing information on the database centralized at the Directorate General of the Merchant Navyas part of the management of sanction proceedings when the subject matter of the complaint report is a national vessel.
